The Labryrinth of Harry Potter
Check out these awesome Harry Potter mind maps!
I just finished re-reading the HP books, and I've got a few theories of my own that I CANNOT resist putting into print before the finale comes out. These aren't SPOILERS per se, but you should avoid them if you don't want any preconceived ideas planted in your head before the Deathly Hallows comes out.

- Dumbledore trusts Snape because Snape was in love with Lilly Potter. When Voldemort killed Lilly based on Snape's tip on the prophecy, Snape was consumed with remorse. That's why he turned. Do you mean to tell me you haven't figure this out yet?
- Snape isn't a good person. We will see that in the finale. Snape will pay for what he's done, probably with his life.
- Ron, Hermione, Ginny, and Harry will survive. If I had to put bets on one of them dying, it would be Harry.
- Harry is Voldemort's last Horcrux. Think about it for a second. Voldemort uses murder to create horcruxes to ensure his immortality and also because he's an obsessive trophy collector. He was all set up to create a horcrux out of Harry's murder. When it went terribly wrong, a bit of his soul was bound to Harry's body. Dumbledore probably knew this.
- RAB is almost certainly Regulus A Black.
- Who will be the next Defense against the Dark Arts teacher? Wouldn't it be cool if it was Harry? This is on my "wild speculations that I hope against hope will come to be" list.
- Harry and Malfoy will work together. They will not be friends.
- The relationship between the wizard and muggle worlds will be a major theme. It will change forever as a result of the events of the novel.

considering i have been happy to wait till well after the paperback versions are out i am sure it will be 'spoiled' for me anyway. the horcux idea makes sense though.
I'm not convinced that all of those four will survive, although if Harry does die, none of the others will.
I'm not buying the Horcrux theory. There are too many problems with it.
On the one hand, I can't see them letting Harry serve as a teacher while he's still a student. On the other hand, he's clearly far more competent than almost anyone else they've had serve, not to mention experienced, and it'd be a way to rope him back into going to the school, when he's currently determined not to.
No way is Malfoy going to work with Harry. Maybe he was too much of a wuss in the end to go through with killing a more or less helpless Dumbledore, but he's still way too spiteful, arrogant and petty to end up working with Harry.
I'd like to think the wizard/muggle relationship will be a major theme and will change forever, but I'm not sure she's really set things up to explore that in this book.
Cool, I'm almost glad we diasagree on so many points. I will make victory that much sweeter...
And Harry as Dark Arts teacher? It's not very likely, but if I was the game master, that's how it would go down. :)
harry can't be a horcrux or else the prophesy doen't make sense. One of them has to die, but if they wipe out the horcruxes, and then voldemort kills Harry, voila! no more Voldemort. I can't make that one fit.
I like your first idea some, but I'm not sure that Snape would confide such a thing to Dumbledore to begin with. We'll see.
I think there's more of a chance for redemption for Malfoy than for Snape, but I still doubt it.
