About four years ago, I was studying philosophy in Washington, DC, when I had what alcoholics refer to as "a moment of clarity". I realized that what I had, until then, made the focal point of my life, philosophy, was not actually all that important to me. In fact, searching my life, I found that most of the things closest to me weren't really very important to me. So what did I do? I got a phone call. That phone call led me far from home to an entirely new place where I found some things and people that slowly became very important to me. Somewhere alone the way I found the love of my life to whom I am now married. My question is, what do you do if you don't get that phone call?
