Seattle Indymedia - The Seattle Police Department is requiring the Fremont Arts Council to ban, and assist in the arrest of, any nude bicylists at this year's Fremont Solstice Parade; this is at the direction of mayoral candidate and Seattle City Attorney Mark Sidran. Some FAC members believe this to be a political ploy by Mark Sidran to assist in his race to be elected Mayor of Seattle, others believe it to be more of a crude attempt to appear to be "cracking down" on events which might be portrayed in the media as reminiscent of Mardi Gras.
